The T.T.C. provides both tutoring and testing services for Glen Oaks Community College. The T.T.C. is located on the north end of the concourse, opposite the fitness center
Monday through Thursday, 8:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m.
The T.T.C. offers study tips, reading strategies, time management and test taking tips.
Free peer tutoring is available to any Glen Oaks Community College student with an academic need. Peer tutors are selected for their communication skills and excellence in specific academic areas. Many tutors are certified through the College Reading and Learning Association. Tutors are available by appointment. For your personal one-on-one tutor, contact the T.T.C. at 1-888-994-7818 Ext 270, or submit this form. It's the smart thing to do.
For On Campus Tutoring:
Students interested in receiving on campus tutoring fill out a Tutor Request Form and turn it into the Director of Tutoring and Testing.
The Director of Tutoring and Testing selects a tutor for the student, then contacts the student with the time and date of the tutoring session.
Tutors and students conduct the tutoring session in the Tutoring and Testing Center.

Monday & Thursday 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. for math, English and more*.
Other tutoring times and subjects are available by appointment.
Monday - Thursday 8:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m.
Friday 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
*In addition to math and english, many of the tutors are able to tutor courses in natural science, social science and computers.
Online Tutoring Services:
This is a live one-on-one tutoring session with a tutor helping the student in an online atmosphere. You MUST have first filled out a Tutoring Request Form and receive confirmation of day and time. The online tutoring can then be arranged through the TTC. Glen Oaks' Tutors:
Glen Oaks Community College has tutors serving the academic needs of all students. All tutors have received a 3.5 or higher in the class for which they tutor, or the tutor was recommended by a Glen Oaks Community College instructor.
