2009 Glen Oaks Lady Vikings Softball - Incoming Freshman

Cheyenne Kosmerick

Right- handed pitcher from Coldwater High School. Cheyenne has very good control and throws all pitches. She is also a very good batter that hits for power.

She is also a very good outfielder.

Caitlin Courtney

First baseman from Dowagiac High School. Caitlin has very good reach and understands the position quite well. She is also our backup catcher and has experience at that position playing fall ball. Caitlin is a contact hitter and runs the bases well.

Tracy Thompson

Tracy is an outfielder from Colon High School. She is one of those never quit players that will give you everything she has. She is a singles type hitter that has very good speed on the bases.

Haley Schrader

Right- handed pitcher from Centreville High School. Haley is not only a very good pitcher with very good control, but she is a complete ball player. She can pretty much play all positions and also hits and runs very well. She has very good knowledge of the game

Kelly King

Left- handed outfielder from Constantine High School. Kelly covers a lot of ground from her center field position. She reads the hit quite well and is usually waiting for the ball when it comes down. She has an excellent arm and can throw runners out on the bases. She is a medium power hitter and has the potential to hit it over the fence.

Devin VanVorst

Outfielder from Colon High School. Devin has the potential to be a very good hitter. She is very eager to learn and is very athletic. She should do well playing college ball.

Makenna Bohm

Makenna is a middle infielder from Centreville High School. She has been out of high school for a couple of years and is ready to get back into the game. She was an outstanding player in high school and should regain her softball skills quite quickly.

Mary Wert

Mary is a utility player from Union City. She attended Michigan State last year and missed playing softball. She was a very good player at Union City High School and should pick the game up again quickly. She will probably find playing time at first base.

Tiffany Bol

Tiffany played her high school ball for Marcellus High School. She is a utility infielder, a good hitter and has above average speed on the bases. Tiffany played basketball for the college last year.
