Students who attend CTE have the opportunity to get a head start on a technical career through articulation. Credit earned in specific CTE programs can be applied towards college graduation requirements for a degree or certificate. CTE course development began with college faculty, administrators, and staff in working with high school/CTE faculty, administrators, and staff in reviewing the technical competency levels of the course as well as of students to formulate a smooth transition from high school courses, to college courses, to work. A partnership benefiting both the St. Joseph ISD and Glen Oaks Community College has existed for the past ten years, with CTE students from the county's nine school districts.

Direct Credit Agreements
Since the fall of 2000, the St. Joseph County Career Technical Education (CTE) Consortium has been using the labs at Glen Oaks Community College during the day. That same semester Glen Oaks started programs that used the labs during the evening. To benefit both high school students and Glen Oak students a partnership agreement with the St. Joseph County CTE Consortium was formed. In this partnership, CTE students are given Glen Oak credit for their course work and Glen Oak students have the opportunity to enroll in these daytime courses. The CTE students in these programs are registered as guest students of Glen Oaks and receive college credit posted on a college transcript in addition to high school credit. The following are direct credit programs.
- Computer Systems Technology
- Automotive Technologies Manufacturing Technologies
- Medical Occupations
- Early Childhood Education
