The Office Assistant-Medical Certificate program is designed to prepare the student for entry-level employment in the office of a health agency or institution, government agency, or private health practice. The student may apply the certificate to an Associate of Applied Science in Business Degree and/or the Associate of Applied Science in Allied Health Degree.

The student must achieve a "C" or 2.0 GPA in all courses.
Qualification for the externship requires the student to have at least 75% of the major course work completed as determined by the externship coordinator with an overall 2.5 GPA or above.
