Background Information
After receiving my Bachelor's degree from Western Michigan University, I went to the Grand Rapids Baptist Seminary, where I received a Master's degree in Education. I have also completed a Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health, and one year of Doctoral studies in Counseling Psychology, both from Western Michigan University. Before coming to Glen Oaks Community College I worked as a Career Counselor at Western Michigan University and as a Limited Licensed Psychologist in private practice.
Since I came to Glen Oaks in 1996, I have served in varying capacities. I currently divide my time between academic advising, assisting students with diabilities, coordinating the Glen Oaks Community College Internship program, facilitating Faculty-Student mediation and serving as the substance abuse and job services coordinator.
