Activities |

|
Student Government sponsors at least one event per month. These events are varied from fun and amusing in nature to serious. We frequently support community agencies and sponsor activities to benefit those agencies, such as the American Red Cross with bi-annual blood drives, fundraising for disaster victims, Salvation Army with bell ringing, KeyStone Place food drive collection, Toys for Tots toy drive, the Domestic Assault Shelter, and Coats for Kids.
Student Government spirit activities have included in the past: movie nights, pumpkin carving contests, ice cream socials, student/staff challenge volleyball and softball, putt putt golf on the concourse, super bowl kickoff, leprechaun toss, fitness walk/runs, art and flower sales as well as many luncheons.
Student Government sponsored numerous fun events in 2009. These included a Golf Fundraiser in October that raised $500 each for the Domestic Assault Shelter and Down Syndrome Research, the Halloween Hustle run/walk event in cooperation with the Fitness/Wellness Center, Egg Drop Contest, Lions Game trip to Detroit, Jersey Boys matinee in Chicago, Blood Drive (Nov. 18), Turkey Bowling on the Concourse, Toys for Tots & Food Drive, Jeff Daniels Concert in Sturgis, and Santa walk/run.
