Athletics

Glen Oaks is a member of the Michigan Community College AthleticAssociation (MCCAA) and the National Junior College Athletic Association(NJCAA).

Phi Theta Kappa

International Honor Society for two-year community collegestudents.

Hallmarks for the society are scholarship, leadership, and service.

Students who maintain a 3.3 GPA, have completed 12 credit hoursover the 100 level, and are enrolled in at least 3 credit hours for thesemester are invited to become members.

Student Government

Organized to achieve student input and to sponsor events to benefitstudents.

Consults with the college administration, may serve on college committees,and coordinates co-curricular and extra-curricular programs.

Recreation and StudentActivities

Developed to sponsor recreational events and activities for thecampus and community.

Allied Health Club

Promotes the medical assisting profession by participating incollege life, modeling professionalism, and contributing to the health of thecommunity.

Develops technical, critical thinking, and networking skills forthe medical workplace.

Open to all current and former students of the GOCC MedicalAssistant program.

Bible Club

Open toall students with an interest in discussing biblical concepts

Music Club

Open to all current students interested in vocal or instrumentalperformance.

The club meets on Tuesdays at noon in the Nora Hagen Theater andperforms at graduation, PTK Induction, holiday functions, vigils, nursinghomes, and college-sponsored events.

Student Ambassadors

Student Ambassadors represent the college at various campus andcommunity events, serve on student panels, and guide campus tours.

Interested students must apply for the program and maintain a 3.0cumulative grade point average.

Visual Arts Club

Open to all students with an interest in art.
