Glen Oaks Community College is accepting
scholarship applications from the high school graduating class of 2009. “As part of our
continuing commitment to students, Glen Oaks will again award area students with
scholarships based on their high school academic achievements,” said Dr. Gary Wheeler,
Area high school seniors with a grade point average of 3.0 or higher may apply
for any of several Dean Scholarships. The award may be used for all education-related
expenses up to $1,000 each year, renewable for the second year if the student is attending
full-time and maintains a 3.0 GPA at Glen Oaks.
Students with a 3.5 GPA or higher may apply for any of several Presidential
Scholarships. This scholarship will cover all tuition and fees up to $4,000 each year,
renewable for the second year if the student is attending full-time and maintains a 3.5
GPA at Glen Oaks.
“We are very excited to announce these scholarships for the best and brightest.
Our outstanding student body finds our courses challenging, with experienced faculty and
a helpful staff,” said President Wheeler.

ext. 260. Office hours are 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Qualifying
