Celebrating Dr. Bryan Newton’s Leadership
Glen Oaks Community College proudly welcomes Dr. Bryan Newton as its ninth president. With over 20 years of experience in higher education, he is committed to student success, workforce development, and community engagement.
Dr. Newton previously held leadership roles at Wor-Wic Community College, Aiken Technical College, and Ivy Tech Community College, leading efforts to expand access, improve retention, and strengthen industry partnerships. He holds a Ph.D. from Colorado State University, a Juris Doctorate from The Ohio State University, and a Bachelor’s degree from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville.
Under Dr. Newton’s leadership, Glen Oaks is committed to growth, innovation, and building strong connections with students, employers, and the community. His inauguration marks the beginning of an exciting future, as the college continues to expand opportunities and serve the region.
