Glen Oaks Community College volleyball team beat Kellogg Community College on Tuesday night after career high performances by the Vikings. The Vikings lost the first set 25-27 but came back to win the second and fourth sets 25-18, 25-20 before pushing it into the five. Glen Oaks clinched the match winning the fifth set 15-13.

Calsey Gruzdov led the team in kills with a career best 26, followed by Gracie Roberts’ career high 46 assists, and Hunter Geisler’s 12 digs, also her career best.

This win was Glen Oaks’ second MCCAA Western Conference win and bumped them up to 7th place (2-11, 3-16). The Vikings are on the road Thursday traveling to Ancilla College to take on the Chargers. The next home match is Tuesday, October 25th as the Vikings compete against the Redhawks of Lake Michigan College.
