The Viking men’s and women’s basketball teams are gearing up for a busy week of college hoops. The women’s team tips off at Cornerstone University  at 7:00pm for a tough match against the JV Eagles before they travel to face the Britons of Albion College Wednesday night and then against MCCAA Eastern conference foe Schoolcraft on Saturday.

The women are coming off a win against Olivet College JV last Tuesday, 66-48 giving them a 2-1 record for the year. Four Vikings scored in double figures in the game against the Comets with freshman Gabrielle Russell leading with 18 points. LeAsia Jackson, Sirena Pitts, and Hannah Carr put up 13 and 10 respectively.

The men’s basketball team is 0-2 coming off a tough loss against Olivet College JV, 70-75, on November 16th but is ready to face MCCAA Eastern conference foes Henry Ford on Wednesday and is part of the double header against #6 Schoolcraft on Saturday before they host Trine University JV on Monday, December 5th. The Vikings have 3 players averaging double figures freshman AJ Gary (19.5), sophomore Christian Oakley (17), and Constantine native, Tyler Shank (11).
