Head Coach Vince Strefling

Vince Strefling is beginning his second year at Glen Oaks but he has been coaching for over 22 years. He has coached at several high schools during that time including Riley High School, Elkhart Central, Brandywine, Dowagiac, and Coloma. Coach Strefling also spent time on the college and club scene with Trine College, Krush Volleyball Club, and Midwest Juniors Volleyball to name a few.

 
During his coaching tenure he has earned 9 league, 6 district, and 4 regional titles. He also was a four-time ASICS National Championship Runner-Up, coached an AAU First Team All-American, Southwest Michigan player of the year, and numerous all conference, region, and state selections. 

Strefling also played professional volleyball as a member of the European Open Theatre Volleyball league and the Midwest Professional Volleyball Association.
 
Vince currently works at Performance One Training Center in Niles, MI and holds multiple health and physical fitness certifications including CSAC (Certified Strength and Agility Coach). He resides in Buchanan, MI with his wife Sarah and two daughters, Franki and Emma; and son, Brett.
In Strefling’s first season he compiled a 4-18 record finishing in 7th place in the Western conference above Jackson College and Kellogg Community College. He also coached Calsey Gruzdov who earned All Freshman and 1st team conference honors.
