Business After Hours event to showcase Trine University School of Professional Studies, Glen Oaks Industrial Technology Wing and Learning Commons

Glen Oaks Community College and Trine University School of Professional Studies
Centreville Education Center invite the public to attend a special joint Business After Hours event on
Thursday, Sept. 10 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Sponsored by the Sturgis and Three Rivers Chambers of
Commerce, the event will be held on the Glen Oaks campus at 62249 Shimmel Rd., in Centreville.

“We’ve been busy at the college making renovations in the Industrial Technology Wing,” said Dr. David
Devier, Glen Oaks president. “We have received a number of machines recently donated to us by
Vicksburg Schools which have helped us to bring back the Machine Tool program. In addition, we have
made upgrades to the Electrical Technologies and Welding labs as we move to the Open Entry/Open Exit
format where students can work at their own pace.”

“Our new partnership with Trine offers students new pathways to achieve their goals,” said Devier. “The
Trine office and classrooms are set up and classes are now running on our campus. The partnership
provides students greater access to classes toward their bachelor degrees with the convenience of
academic program offerings locally.”

Guests will enjoy specialty appetizers and desserts catered by Trio’s Restaurant.

Business After Hours is hosted at different locations where Chamber members meet and greet in a
relaxed, social setting and learn more about each other.
