Each year Glen Oaks Adopts-A-Family at Christmas and this year the Allied Health Club led everyone with the sale of Poinsettia plants for the holiday. The club sold 153 plants to net $684. The remaining $384 goes into an Allied Health student scholarship fund for awards next May. Medical Assistant student Maria Hernandez was responsible for selling 29 plants. Webber said, “Selling the plants has become a tradition for the club and the activity helps make for a beautiful Christmas for the family.” Professor Luczek added, “The Allied Health Club is proud to take part in helping the Adopt-A-Family this year. We know it means so much to them and us.”
