Twelve students in the advanced Career and Technical Education (CTE) Graphic Design cohort at Glen Oaks Community College recently presented their branding and advertising projects to a panel of outside judges. As part of the project, students developed a fictitious company and created corresponding logo designs, print materials, design spec sheets and website homepage mock-ups. They presented their work and interacted with judges to share their creative choices in design, font, messaging, etc. Above left, Madison Owen, of Sturgis, is shown with her display board featuring her Go Green recycling business. On right is Amy Adams, of Three Rivers, sharing information on a business called Dice Roll. The CTE Graphic Design program is taught by instructor Linda Walker. In all, there are currently 29 junior and senior students in the program.
