Campus Cupboard

Who We Are

The Campus Cupboard was formed in 2017 as a response to increased food insecurity among students at Glen Oaks. Through a partnership with the Emergency Care Network and the South Michigan Food Bank, the Campus Cupboard is run entirely on grant funds along with generous payroll contributions from several GOCC staff and faculty.

Staffed by volunteer College employees, we strive to make visiting the food pantry a comfortable experience for students.

Campus Cupboard free food pantry open to all currently enrolled GOCC students

What We Do

Currently enrolled GOCC students are able to receive 3-5 days worth of nutritious food (with quantities of food items based on the number of people living in the student’s household) once every two weeks.

To request food assistance service, first-time Campus Cupboard users can complete an Apply for Assistance Application online. Volunteers will look over each application and reach out to the student to schedule a day and time to pick up a pre-assembled food box.

Care is taken to try and provide food items that the student has indicated they want and need, depending on what’s available at that time. Students who have previously visited the pantry can log in to Etrieve and complete a Campus Cupboard Re-Order form using the same Apply for Assistance link.

Where We Are

The Campus Cupboard is located on the north side of the Dresser Business Development Center, near the front, main entrance of Glen Oaks Community College.

To request food assistance, fill out the Campus Cupboard Application.

If you have any questions about the Campus Cupboard or the application, please feel free to contact us.
