Mission Statement


 The Mission of the Glen Oaks Community College Fitness/Wellness Center is to provide a safe and comfortable environment where all participants can work toward meeting individual fitness and wellness goals.  The Fitness/Wellness Center provides a place for positive social interaction, superior quality instruction, as well as a stress free environment where participants can receive necessary assistance in striving to develop into a more health conscious, wellness driven individual.





Personal Fitness Assessments


One of the benefits included in Fitness/Wellness Center membership is one-on-one personal fitness assessment and program planning.  After the completion of the initial health release and equipment orientation paperwork packet, the trainers and other staff will lead the members through a personal fitness assessment which allows for a personal and individualized fitness plan. One of the easiest ways to ensure success in a fitness program is to have a program developed specifically for the individual.  Let our trainers help you get a program in place just for you!  Make a plan, and see results!   


Quad Training


Now available at Glen Oaks Community College Fitness/Wellness Center is QUAD TRAINING.  Quad training is a group fitness class designed for participants who want the benefits of a personal trainer but are more successful, or enjoy the experience more if working out with friends.  In a quad training class, up to 4 participants receive one-on-one instruction from a certified personal trainer for one hour of instruction, but the $40 an hour fee is split between the participants.  This allows the participants to receive the benefits of a personal trainer for a fraction of the costs. 

If you and your workout companions are interested in scheduling a quad training session, contact the Fitness/Wellness Center at 269-294-4307 to set up a time and to choose a personal trainer to take you and your group to a whole new fitness level!

Membership Fees


All students who are attending at least part time, are able to use the Fitness/Wellness Center as part of the current semester student activities fee that is added to semester tuition.  Community patrons are welcome to use the Center during open hours for the fees listed below. 

Fee Schedules: Regular/Seniors (62+)

Daily Membership: $5.00/$4.00
Monthly Membership: $30.00/$25.00
Semester Membership: $90.00/$75.00
Annual Membership: $200.00/$150.00

Fitness/Wellness Center Equipment

The Fitness/Wellness Center is equipped with a fabulous selection of free weights, selectorized weight machines, and updated cardio equipment.  Click here to see what equipment the Center has to offer.

All Fitness/Wellness Center staff members hold degrees in physical education, exercise science or a similar field.  Work out with confidence at GOCC, knowing that the physical needs of the clientele is of top priority.
