David Boyd

David Boyd Named Interim VP of Finance and Administrative Services

David J. Boyd is serving as the Interim VP of Finance and Administrative Services following the retirement of Bruce Zakrzewski.  He is employed through The Registry, a national organization which helps place senior leaders of higher education in interim positions. Boyd is expected to serve in this role through the end of June.

A resident of Highland, Michigan, Boyd served as Vice President for Business at Tiffin University in Tiffin, Ohio, for 16 years and prior to that he served six years as Vice President of Finance for Olivet College in Olivet, Michigan. In addition, he served as Controller for Houseman Company, in Grand Rapids, a Staff Auditor for PricewaterhouseCoopers in Detroit, and as an Assistant Professor at Western Michigan University.

As a member of The Registry, he had held interim positions at Madonna University in Lavonia, Lakeland College in Sheboygan, Wisconsin, St. Mary University in Bismarck, North Dakota, and at Rio Grande College in Ohio.

He earned an MBA from the University of Detroit-Mercy, and a BBA from the University of Notre Dame and is a Certified Public Accountant in the state of Michigan.

As a volunteer, Boyd has served as an officer for many years with the Ohio Association of College and University Business Officers. He has also served as an Accreditor on many visits for the Higher Learning Commission (North Central Association.)
