The first round of new student orientation for Fall 2010 took place at Glen Oaks Community College on Thursday morning, August 19. The second informative orientation program takes place 5:30-8:30 p.m., Wednesday, August 25 in the college’s Business Development Center’s Dresser Auditorium. Students (facing camera) like Amanda Babcock (left) of Three Rivers and Tiffani Spealman (right) of Mendon take part in a fun ice-breaker segment. Also, four students compare information on tips and techniques to ensure college success and managing time between work, family, and class. They are (left to right) Abby Adamski of Burr Oak, Dustin Stidham, Allison Perry, and Matt Huff from Sturgis. The three-hour event also included giveaway items, prizes and plenty of time to tour the college campus, meet faculty, and find classrooms. First classes for the fall semester begin Monday, August 30.
