New Student Orientation is designed to help students
familiarize themselves with the Glen Oaks campus, college policies, and
enrollment procedures. Students who attend the on-campus orientation will have
an opportunity to meet with an academic advisor, register for classes, speak
with financial aid staff, obtain a student ID card, and arrange payment for classes.
Prior to orientation, students must:
Have an Application for Admission on file with
the Admissions Office.
Complete the Course Placement Evaluation or submit qualifying ACT/SAT scores.*
*The Course Placement Evaluation may be
waived with recent ACT/SAT scores that meet college readiness requirements.
Please contact the Admissions Office with questions regarding the waiver.
To schedule an appointment for the test, call the
Tutoring and Testing Center at 269-294-4270. Scores are required for
the advising portion of New Student Orientation. Please test at least one week
before the orientation date you select below.
If you are a student with a documented disability and wish
to receive accommodations for your Glen Oaks classes, you will need to complete
a Disability Support Services Intake with Karen Webber, Student Support
Specialist. Please call 269-294-4246 to schedule an appointment. Please schedule your intake session prior to orientation.
All orientation sessions will be held in the Dresser Business Development Center.
If you intend to begin our late start classes (in March) as a new student, please contact Admissions at 269-294-4258 for instructions on completing an orientation.
