New Student Orientation is designed to help students familiarize themselves with the Glen Oaks campus, college policies, and enrollment procedures. Students who attend the on-campus orientation will have an opportunity to meet with an academic advisor, register for classes, speak with financial aid staff, obtain a student ID card, and arrange payment for classes.

Prior to orientation:

If you are planning to receive any form of financial aid (grants, loans, etc.) Please have your Free Application for Federal Student Aid

(FAFSA) submitted via FAFSA.gov.

Have course placement testing* completed or test scores (ACT/SAT) submitted before attending a session. Advisors use these scores to place you in the correct courses.

Failure to due so may hinder your ability to register for classes.

*The Course Placement Testing may be waived with recent ACT/SAT scores that meet college readiness requirements. Please contact the Admissions Office with questions regarding the waiver.

To schedule an appointment for the test, call the Tutoring and Testing Center at 269-294-4270.  Scores are required for the advising portion of New Student Orientation. Please test at least one week before the orientation date you select below.
If you are a student with a documented disability and wish to receive accommodations for your Glen Oaks classes, you will need to complete a Disability Support Services Intake with Karen Webber, Student Support Specialist. Please call 269-294-4246 to schedule an appointment. Please schedule your intake session prior to orientation.

ATTENTION: If you are a college guest student, meaning you are currently enrolled at another college and you want to take a class at GOCC in the summer and plan to return to your home institution in the fall, please DO NOT sign up for a date below. Please contact our advisor, Karen Webber at 269-294-4241 or kwebber@glenoaks.edu, to discuss steps for registration.

More orientation dates will be posted here at a later date, we will hold these sessions through August. But, if you are intending on beginning summer classes (on May 16th) you will need to choose a date below.
