Jean Zimmerman suggests students not wait until the last minute to begin the application process. Getting started now will allow the student time to gather the required documents to apply. Recommendation letters, essays, or financial information may be required, depending on the scholarship.
Janene Breneman, Executive Director of the Foundation, said scholarships exist in career areas of Health, Technical and Human Services; where students may pursue programs such as Education, Emergency Medical Technician, Early Childhood, Medical Insurance Coder/Biller, Medical Assistant, Social Work, Finance and Banking, Associates of General Studies Degree, Associates of Applied Science in Technology and Associates of Business.
These Glen Oaks Community College Foundation Scholarships may be used for education related expenses.
