The board evaluation included forty-eight questions covering six functional areas of performance. On a scale of 1 to 5, with 5 being “significantly exceeds expectations.” Dr. Devier’s overall rating was 4.39 representing an increase over his 2015 evaluation.
The board voiced its approval of the many initiatives overseen by Dr. Devier. These include: increasing enrollment; improving community engagement and service; developing new programming; updating and implementing the College’s Strategic Plan; increasing partnerships with both K-12 districts and business and industry; supporting the work of the Glen Oaks Foundation; and planning for on-campus student housing.
Dr. Devier started his tenure at Glen Oaks in January of 2014 and, as discussed by the Trustees, during his time at the College he has built a dynamic team within the College. The trustees voted unanimously to approve a 2.25 percent increase in Dr. Devier’s salary, to continue the current level of contribution to his retirement plan and to extend his contract through June 30, 2019.
