Glen Oaks team helps Adopt-A-Family drive

Members of the Glen Oaks Community College women’s softball team hit a home run recently when they donated $100 toward the Adopt-A-Family program. The Christmas Season effort assists a student family in need with household goods, presents, and funds. The drive to help the family in need is led by the Occupational Student Support Program (OSSP) at GOCC. Accepting the team donation is Deb Wright (far right), Occupational Support Specialist and Co-Chairperson for Adopt-A-Family. Team members present include (left to right) seated: Erica Mullins of Burr Oak, Kendra Wilson of LaGrange, Haley Schrader of Centreville; standing: Coach Ray Monty, Caitlin Courtney of Dowagiac, Samantha Kasinger of LaPorte, Cheyenne Kosmerick of Coldwater, and Kelly King of Constantine. “This is something these student athletes felt like they wanted to do. I am proud of them for stepping up to help a needy family in this way,” said Coach Monty.
