Glen Oaks Community College welcomes Matthew Brawley as the new athletic director/director of fitness and wellness center.
Brawley comes to Glen Oaks from Ross Beatty Jr./Sr. High School, in Cassopolis, MI, where he was the principal/assistant principal from July 2018 through the present. He has been at the school since 2005 and held positions including the dean of students/athletic director, health and physical education teacher and special education teacher.
Over the years, Brawley has coached numerous sports including football, baseball and basketball – all in a variety of age levels.
Born and raised in Niles, Michigan. He is a graduate of Olivet College where he obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Education, majoring in Health/Physical Education and Recreation. He received Masters in the Art of Teaching from Marygrove College. He started his position at Glen Oaks on Feb. 24.
