GOCC invites community to participate in open forums, Tuesday, Dec. 12, as part of presidential search

Glen Oaks Community College invites members of the community to participate in one of three open forums on Tuesday, Dec. 12, to assist in the development of a Presidential Profile as part the process to select the college’s ninth president.

In partnership with the Association of Community College Trustees (ACCT), the national search firm selected to assist in the search process, Glen Oaks will host three public forums designed to gather input from students, faculty, staff, alumni, and the entire community. The forums offer participants the chance to help define the qualities, characteristics and qualifications sought as well as identify the challenges and opportunities facing the college in the years to come.

Attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions about the Presidential search process. The forums will be facilitated by Jill Board, ACCT search consultant.

Participants can choose from three different forum times.

Option 1
Tuesday, December 12
Nora Hagen Theatre
11 a.m. to noon

Option 2
Tuesday, December 12
Nora Hagen Theatre
3 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Option 3
Tuesday, December 12
Nora Hagen Theatre

Please share the forum information with those who have an interest in Glen Oaks Community College and wish to attend. No RSVP is needed.

In addition to the Public Forum, Glen Oaks has developed a brief electronic survey for the public if unable to attend one of the forums.  The anonymous responses to the survey will also be used as input for the development of the draft Presidential Profile. The survey is available at:  https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/glen-oaks-community-college-presidential-search .
