Health and Education Career Fair – March 28

Are you looking for a job in health care? Or do you want to know more about different healthcare program training options?  Glen Oaks Community College will be holding its second annual Health and Education Career Fair on Tuesday, March 28 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Held on the campus grand concourse, over 20 employers and a handful of colleges and universities will be on hand for this event.

“Employers continue to struggle to fill healthcare positions,” said Sara Birch, dean of health science at Glen Oaks. “We have about 65 first- and second-year nursing students and 10 students in the allied health professions – and about half of this group will be graduating in May.

“The response has been overwhelming,” said Birch. “Representatives from area hospitals, nursing homes, rehabilitation centers, and mental health centers, etc. will be participating.  Employers attending are from as far south as Fort Wayne, Indiana, all over St. Joseph County, Michigan, and up north to include facilities in Kalamazoo.”

The event puts employers in contact with not only Glen Oaks students, but those in the community who are looking to get into the healthcare field or who may wish to change to a different area of healthcare.

The list of employers and educational institutions who will be represented at the event can be found at: https://www.glenoaks.edu/business-industry/health-fair/. For more specific information, contact Sara Birch at GOCC at: (269) 294-4287 or sbirch226@glenoaks.edu.
