They create, execute and evaluate advertising campaigns over multiple channels, develop strategies to publicize new products, listen to customer feedback, and report to upper management. They build relationships with media, vendors, employees and clients to ensure their company is presented in the best light possible.

While traditional communication skills are important for this field, digital marketing skills such as search engine optimization, analytics and staying up to date on social media are increasingly important.
