Science Club poses for Earth Day

Science Club plants Earth Day tree

Under perfect blue skies and warm spring temperatures the Glen Oaks Community College Science Club planted a tree at noon Thursday, April 22 in observance of Earth Day.

Science Club President Jennifer Sprague thanked those present, including club sponsors, faculty members, Glen Oaks President Dr. Gary Wheeler and College Board member David Locey.

Locey, owner of Timberly Tree Farm, donated and helped plant the tree. Other sponsors included De Glass Station, Inc., Faith Haven Senior Care Centre, Nottawa Lumber, CSP Nottawa, and Nelson D. Yoder LLC.
