GOCC’s Response to COVID-19

Glen Oaks Community College takes the safety of students, employees, and the community seriously. We are following the Centers for Disease Control’s (CDC) and public health officials’ guidance and recommendations and will continue to monitor the spread of the virus. GOCC has response plans in place should the outbreak become widespread and affect the college community.

COVID-19 Preparedness and Response Plan

Glen Oaks Community College (GOCC) is committed to protecting the health and safety of all members of the campus community including faculty, staff, students and visitors. This plan is intended to provide an outline of the college’s preparation and response to the Coronavirus pandemic for the 2022-2023 academic year.

Students’ health and safety is the basis for every decision stated in this plan. This is a dynamic document, and the college will address issues and concerns as quickly and appropriately as possible, following guidelines of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), federal and state government, and our local public health department. Students will be notified as this plan is updated, and all updates will be published online at

This plan reflects guidelines and expectations for the main campus. Residents of the Devier Student Suites will follow additional guidelines and protocols from the Housing and Residential Life Office. Dual enrolled students taking classes at high school sites, or students taking classes as part of a clinical rotation or at off-campus locations, may be required to follow additional protocols of those secondary sites.
