Occupational Student Support Services

The Occupational Student Success Program (OSSP) is open to all Special Population students. Students who are eligible to participate in OSSP may be eligible for supplemental financial support to pay for any tuition, fees or books not covered by free financial aid and to pay for costs associated with childcare. Emergency transportation vouchers and bus passes are also available to OSSP participants. Any interested student must apply via Etrieve to be considered for OSSP.

Students wanting to apply for financial benefits must be accepted into OSSP, meet with Rachel Templin (OSSP Coordinator) to complete a

Request for Funding form, and provide any additional, required documentation as requested.

A completed FAFSA must be on file with the Financial Aid Office each year OSSP funds are requested.

A comprehensive list of possible accommodations for students with disabilities is available upon request. Students requesting consideration for accommodations must provide appropriate documentation and meet with the Disability Support Counselor, Amber Gerth.

Special Population Students

A Special Populations Student is a person who, through a formal assessment, has been deemed as being one of the following:
  • Out-of-workforce Individual
  • Homeless individual
  • Individual with disability
  • Individual from an economically disadvantaged family, including low-income youth and adults
  • Individual preparing for non-traditional fields
  • Single parents, including single pregnant women
  • Youth who are in, or who have aged out of, the foster care system
  • Youth with a parent who is an armed forces member and is on active duty
  • Individual with other barriers to educational achievement, including individual with limited English proficiency
