Six nursing students receive awards

Six Glen Oaks Community College nursing students will have a bit more money for school expenses and licensing test fees thanks to awards presented by the Friends and Alumni of Nursing (FAN) at their Annual Conference on Friday, October 14. The students were presented the awards at the organization’s “And the Beat Goes On” heart disease conference in the Business Development Center’s Dresser Auditorium. The students earned Excellence in Nursing awards and the National Council of State Boards of Nursing License Exam (NCLEX). The annual FAN conference at Glen Oaks is a full day of informative seminars each October providing up-to-date information for nurses in the St. Joseph County area. The October 2012 conference will be Saturday, October 13, 2012.
