Skate-A-Thon nets 14 bags of gifts and groceries for family

Nearly 100 people attended a Skate-A-Thon at the Skate Galaxy in Three Rivers, Sunday afternoon, December 13 and they donated 14 bags of groceries, gifts and household items for a local family in need.

The event was sponsored by the Medical Assistant Club at Glen Oaks Community College and admission to the skate party was donation of food and household items. The donations will make Christmas much bright for the Adopt-A-Family, said Brenda Luczek (far right), Chairperson of the Medical Assistant Program at GOCC.
