Background:

The Paul P. Clark Golf Scholarship was established as a memorial to the founder of Sturgis Molded Products, an avid golfer and longtime member of Klinger Lake Country Club. Bitten by the golf bug early in his adult life, Paul Sr. played the game with the same drive and desire to achieve for which he was known throughout his business career. He founded Sturgis Molded Products in 1966 and it quickly grew to become one of the largest employers in the City of Sturgis, a growth that continues to this day. Although Paul Sr. never achieved a single digit handicap, his love for the game was considerable. He was a regular contestant in Club events, he never missed a plastics industry golf outing, and his favorite way to entertain clients was on the golf course. It is in honor of this great man that the Paul P. Clark Golf Scholarship is established, the purpose of which is to promote the Glen Oaks Community College Golf Program.
