Getting Started

Submit an Application for Admission online at www.glenoaks.edu. Applying online is easy and free. It’s helpful to know your Social Security Number for purposes of financial aid. If you’d rather not provide it, please access the PDF of our paper application on our site.

Begin by heading to FAFSA.gov to submit this free application. The sooner you submit your FAFSA the more likely your funding will be available to you! School Code: 002263

Questions? Contact the Financial Aid Office at 269-294-4260.

Schedule a placement test by calling the Tutoring and Testing Center at 269-294-4270. You will need a PICTURE ID!

Students without scores on file will NOT be able to register for courses. Those with qualifying ACT/SAT scores or a prior degree can skip this step. Advisors are always available to interpret your scores, help you clarify your goals, and select proper courses for your program, although you will not be registered
before completing step 5.

High school transcripts are not official until after your graduation date and that date must be published on the transcript.

You will need to sign up for an on campus orientation by clicking on “Registration for New Student Orientation” under the Admissions tab on the GOCC website. Students unable to attend given dates may contact Admissions for further instruction.

During orientation you will learn about Policies & Procedures, campus resources/organizations, how to access The Viking Zone & login to WebAdvisor, and meet one on one with our Advising, Financial Aid, Cashiering, and Student Success Coaches team. Also, learn how to pay for classes and/or set up your payment plan.

This is a MANDATORY step to getting registered for classes!*

COLLEGE GUEST STUDENTS: Please do not register for orientation, contact Admissions for further instructions.

Two and Four Bedroom suites are available for registered students.

Questions? Contact the Housing Office at 269-294-4224 or via our Contact Form.

New students are not able to do an orientation or register within three days before the start of a semester.

Check out the Viking Zone (top of GOCC homepage) for instructions on how to access your student portal (Web Advisor).
