This scholarship was established by her family to honor Dorothy Hiatt, R.N. She embraced the Nursing profession at Three Rivers Area Hospital and dedicated 41 years to caring for others. Patients, families and coworkers admired Dorothy for her skills as an excellent nurse and administrator.
Applicants must be adult women who have had a significant break in their formal education and can demonstrate how post-high school education will help them reach their goals of increased financial independence. Both part-time and full-time students may apply for assistance.
Awarded annually to a student attending an accredited school of nursing.
Graduates of Sturgis, Burr Oak, and Bronson High Schools are eligible to borrow money to attend an accredited college, university or community college of their choice. Awarded to students pursuing a degree in Health Occupations.
Applicants for this scholarship must be accepted into a Glen Oaks Allied Health or Nursing degree program.
Established in 2007, this $750 scholarship is intended for a Glen Oaks student. Students in their first year can apply in their 2nd semester for the scholarship, which will be awarded in their second year.
