Glen Oaks Community College Student Government

Our Mission

We, the Students of Glen Oaks Community College, pledge ourselves to labor unitedly on behalf of the principles herein set forth to perpetuate our organization on the basis of integrity and justice, to expound its objectives, and to diligently endeavor to bring about the highest standard of student organization.

Meeting Times

We meet every Wednesday from 12 – 1 p.m. in Student Services.

We frequently support community agencies and sponsor activities to benefit those agencies, such as Michigan Blood with bi-annual blood drives and the Domestic Assault Shelter.

Student Government spirit activities have included in the past: movie nights, pumpkin carving contests, ice cream socials, student/staff challenge volleyball and softball, putt putt golf on the concourse, super bowl kickoff, leprechaun toss, fitness walk/runs, art and flower sales as well as many luncheons.

New Members are Needed

We are always looking for new members. If you are interested in being part of student government, please stop by Ben Fries’s office located in Student Services. Join us for a meeting any Wednesday from 12 to 1 in Student Services, or you can contact Ben Fries at 269-294-4271 or bfries@glenoaks.edu.
