What we do

Johnathan Anthony meeting with a student

College can be tough. It’s more than just going to class and doing homework. It can be challenging to find the right balance between school, work, and family. And what about having fun at some point?

The Success Coaches at Glen Oaks are here to help first-time college students find that balance and overcome other challenges of college. Your assigned Success Coach can help you stay motivated to reach your educational goals with personalized support and resources.

After an initial “getting to know you” appointment, your Success Coach will help you make a plan to develop skills and connect with resources to help you succeed at Glen Oaks and beyond.

Is this for me?

Whether you are just out of high school or it’s been fifty years, your Success Coach can help you start off your college career with confidence.

Here are a few things we can help you with:

  • Discover strengths with online assessments
  • Provide tools & strategies for success
  • Develop a personalized success plan
  • Learn skills for life & college
  • Connect with campus & community resources

Your Success Coach can help you through every step of your journey at Glen Oaks. Or, they can just make sure you get off on the right foot. It’s up to you! It’s best to meet with them a couple times each semester to check in and make sure you’re on the right path to success.
