Glen Oaks Community College proudly annouces Dr. Temple Grandin, as a speaker in the 2024 Viking Speaker Series. She will speak at Firm Foundations Ministries, 651 E Main Street, Centreville, on Thursday, October 10, 2024, at 6:00 p.m.
Dr. Grandin has transformed the livestock industry with her handling facility designs. These designs enhance farm animal welfare in the U.S. and Canada. She has written numerous industry publications and books, advocating compassionate and scientific livestock management. Her insights as an individual with autism bring unique value to animal science and autism advocacy.
After her talk, Dr. Grandin will sign books from 7:15 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Attendees can buy a limited selection of her books at the event. This evening is part of the college’s effort to offer thought-provoking, inspiring speakers to the community.
The Viking Speaker Series is free and welcomes everyone, showcasing the college’s commitment to accessible education.
