and interested members of the community to this annual event.
Nurses participating in the conference can earn 4.0 Continuing Education Units (CEUs), and all participants will
receive continuing education credits and a certificate of attendance.

The 2013 “Excellence in Nursing” Scholarship recognizes two Glen Oaks Community College students who
have successfully completed one semester of the Nursing Program and have earned a grade point average of
3.5 or higher in all nursing courses. Contributions of service to the Nursing Program, the College or members
of the local community are considered. The $500 scholarship is awarded to one Level I and one Level II
nursing student each year.
The 2013 NCLEX Nursing Award is a $200 award presented annually to two Level I and two Level II GOCC
nursing students who have successfully completed the Level I or Level II GOCC Nursing Program.
