Tonya Howden, Director of Admissions, said the first-ever winter orientation is “an effort to better serve and prepare our students,” many of whom begin their first classes in the Winter term. Howden said break-out sessions will be held in the nearby Business Development Center computer labs. The orientation ends with a tour of the campus.
“This is an excellent time for new students to learn of the many support services available to them and perhaps gain some tips on managing workload, family and classes,” said Howden.
Those unable to attend the on-campus orientation may complete the online version of the New Student Orientation. Go to www.glenoaks.edu and click Online Orientation under the Quick Links section of the website. By submitting the form at the end of the orientation, each student will be entered in a drawing to win prizes from the Admissions Office.
Parents and family members are welcome to attend the on-campus New Student Orientation.
