Dr. Adam Cloutier, GOCC’s VP of academics, welcomes Rachel Smith as the new assistant director of the E. J. Shaheen Learning Commons, which encompasses the Tutoring and Testing Center and Library. She will be primarily in charge of Tutoring and Testing.
Smith comes to Glen Oaks with 13 years of experience in the Carole A. Tate Teaching and Learning Center at Southwestern Michigan College where she also served as an adjunct.
She received her Associate in Psychology from SMC and completed her Bachelor’s in Technical and Professional Communication at Ferris State University. She received her Master’s in Communication with an emphasis on Education from Grand Canyon University.
